Mobile Welding Services have developed this innovative concept of on-the-job training with real-time experience over a number of years. One major advantage is that employees are not absent from their workplace. This saves travel time and students receive job-specific training that is immediately relevant and beneficial to their employer. Plus their employer is able to monitor progress at all stages.

Another advantage is that as new processes, materials or methods are developed, these are incorporated into the Course so that students are always up to date with the latest in welding technology and methodology.

The Training Modules are designed to Satisfy individual and specific requirements which include:

  • Welding process of your choice
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Welding Terms and Symbols
  • All flux and gas shielded processes
  • Filler metal and flux specifications
  • Welding procedures, specifications and qualifications
  • Welding Standards and regulations

Most programs are spread over 3 weeks to minimise disruption on the job. While no prior welding experience is necessary, it would be of some additional benefit.

Many specialised training methods developed by MWS have not previously been used in Australia. These include:

  • Maximum of 5 students per instructor
  • Theory and Practical welding courses located at the same premises (Cardiff, Newcastle, NSW)
  • Flexible hours
  • In employer's workshop, the instructor brings the Course to you
  • Accredited Courses designed for individuals and companies
  • Male and female students receive equal training
  • Upskilling for Trade Qualified Personnel
  • Training can be used as a Pre-Vocational course for individuals wishing to start a Boilermaker apprenticeship
  • Verbal Assessment available.

Inclusive of course costs, all student test plates are sent to a NATA laboratory for independant examination.
