Assessment Appeals Process
Home > Student Information > Assessment Appeals Process
- All participants have the right to appeal any assessment decision made by MOBILE WELDING SERVICES if they believe that the assessment is invalid, inappropriate or unfair.
- Before making an appeal, we ask that you discuss the matter with your assessor in an attempt to resolve the issue.
- If you are still not happy, you are then entitled to lodge a formal Assessment Appeal Form (attached to this handbook) within 7 days of the initial discussion.
- Once a formal appeal is lodged, MOBILE WELDING SERVICES will appoint the Director (Training) or another trainer to attempt to resolve the issue.
- If you are still not satisfied with the outcome of your appeal, you can request that MOBILE WELDING SERVICES appoint another Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to reassess you. If the relevant RTO agrees to conduct the reassessment, the cost of any such reassessment will be met by the student.
- If no satisfactory resolution is reached you can appeal to the Vocational Education Training Accreditation Board (VETAB).
You have the right to a support person to be involved at all times during the appeal process.
